Moynat trunks were born under the impulse of Pauline Moynat. She was the only woman in this period to run a luxury company in the travel trunk industry. Indeed, this field of activity was very masculine like Louis Vuitton or Goyard. But her energetic and creative character, at the height of the Parisian Belle Epoque, led her to throw herself wholeheartedly into the design and production of luxury luggage and trunks. She knew how to take into account the changing tastes and needs of her customers.

His first shop was opened at 1 Avenue de l’Opéra in Paris in 1869, where the very first Moynat trunks were sold. And this was the beginning of a long story…

Today, the House of Moynat specialises in luxury handbags and has opened boutiques all over the world.
