This English cocktail cabinet is particularly unusual and elegant. Made of magnificent warm red honey color walnut, from 1920's, it features one shelf at the bottom. Its top section pops up to reveal a full set of glasses and decanters all by Baccarat. On the opposite side, there is space to store bottles as it opens one third for bottles and 2 thirds for crystal glasses and decanters.
It features a divided hinged top opening to a rising platform all fitted with a complete set of Baccarat cut crystal glasses 2 Baccarat cut crystal decanters. Each glass and each decanter is stamped Baccarat Crystal.
It can be locked thanks to its working key. It is a real surprise cabinet as from its exterior, one can't imagine what is inside but when it opens, it is breathtaking with its rising platform full of different size cut crystal glasses...

These Murano glass vases are very impressive and their color is so lively. Their color is very unusual as it is sweet light pink. these Venetian vases are all hand decorated with the technique of rostrato: spikes of glass have been individually pulled in relief to reach this spectacular 3 D effect. This technique is typically Venetian and requires very skilled artisans. Indeed, craftsmen must be very quick in order to pull out all the spikes while temperature is hot enough.
Their textured and sculptural finish play with lights and reflects. Their thick walled casing glass produce a lot of iridescent reflects. Moreover, photos don't do them justice as they are far more beautiful in real than on photos. Their shape and their wonderful color will make a conversation piece in all beautiful interiors and they would match with contemporary, modern, mid century or art deco interiors. They are real pieces of art.
Please note that as they were entirely done by hand, these vases don't have exactly the same shape. There is a very light difference in shape.

1900’s French Chalet Cigar Box

It is a cigar box in the shape of a small house or chalet, made mainly of dark oak, decorated with elements of gilded brass. The attention to detail and the finesse of the ornamentation indicate that it is a craft work from the 1900s, probably of French origin.
The exceptional aspect of this antique French chalet cigar box lies in its ingenious opening mechanism: in fact its roof opens thanks to 6 tilting slats, manually actuated by a small lever hidden in the steps of the porch. By lifting the slats of the roof, we discover cylindrical compartments intended to hold the cigars individually. It can store up to 42 cigars in its 42 brass rings.
The mechanism opens like a pipe organ or a bellows, revealing the cigars stored vertically. And to close it, one has to turn the steps of the porch in the opposite direction but please note that not all the slats work automatically. Simply flatten them by hand as shown on video.

This English drink cabinet is particularly unusual and elegant. From 1920's, its drink compartment spins over to reveal on one side a breathtaking interior made of a full set of 6 Baccarat glasses and two Saint Louis Crystal decanters and a kind of storage compartment on the other side. (All its glasses are stamped Baccarat and stamped Saint Louis Decanters). Behind the set of crystal pieces, there is a bevelled mirror back to add depth and elegance to its whole set.
This drink cabinet is reminiscent of a prohibition period bar, hiding its drink compartment in the blink of an eye. Every glass is held inside thanks to an adjusted space as well as the decanters. Its very top is surrounded by a very nice brass gallery. It is raised on four tapered legs joined by a circular undertier with turned gallery.
It is a real surprise cabinet as from one side, one can't imagine what is hidden but when it spins over on its other side, it reveals its magnificent inside fitting. This photo frame features white Murano glass overlayed with crystal by Venini, Murano. Thin white lines twist around the crystal glass frame like very thin threads.
"Filigrana' is a traditional technique, which started in the 16th century. This technique requires very skilled makers. They use long glass rods which they superimpose, intertwine and fuse. Each rod is wrapped around a glass cylinder and blown into shape. At the end of this operation, the glass master has to keep each line of color separate, with same thickness and curvature around the glass, as quick as he can before temperature drops.
The result of this technique is almost hypnotic as it produces an effect of perfect twisted net.
It could match with vintage, classic, art deco, mid century or contemporary interiors and would be perfect to adorn your bookcases, your consoles, your shelves or your chests...

Edwardian Campaign Writing Desk, Inlaid Stationary Desk, Traveling desk

This very campaign writing desk is a rarely seen Edwardian travelling writing desk .It is in the Sheraton style and features magnificent satinwood inlay to its panels. The work of inlay is very elegant.
It comes in 2 halves: a lower section that consists of a wide spring loaded door as well as 2 cupboards each hiding another drawer. The upper section is fitted with large brass campaign style handles to its sides and has a lid that allows the front to drop down, exposing the travelling desk.
Within the upper section, there are 9 little drawers, filing slots and hooks as well as an inkwell and brush. It has a clock fitted to the central void. It might not be the original clock but it fits perfectly well and is in working order. It locks thanks to its 4 keys.
Being over 100 years old, there is some very light damage in the form of some splitting to the front of the drop down panel, a small dent to the edge of the drop down panel that can’t be directly seen in either the open or closed setup, as well as some wear to the leather.
Other than the above, it is still a lovely and spectacular piece with wear consistent to age.

This English cocktail cabinet is particularly unusual and elegant. Made of honey color golden walnut, from 1910-1920's , it features 4 straight legs and storage compartment on each sides to store bottles and biscuits. Its top section pops up.
It features a divided hinged top opening to a rising platform all fitted with complete set of beautiful cut crystal glasses, a little removable wood tray as well as 3 cut crystal decanters. And inside its top, there is one tray by flap.
And when it closes down, it closes very softly by itself automatically thanks to its elaborate inside mechanism.
It is a real surprise cabinet as from its exterior ,one can't imagine what is inside but when it opens, it is breathtaking with its rising platform full of beautiful crystal glasses... This metamorphic cabinet will add a touch of class to all styles of interiors and will be for sure a great conversation piece. When it is open, it is 124 cm long.
