This splendid mid century modern revolving drinks cabinet by Vittorio Dassi is a real "surprise cabinet". Its exterior is all polished precious wood and it features in its center a gorgeous decorative eglomise glass panel door with brass detailing surround.

Its fall front also features a magnificent eglomise glass panel too. "Verre Eglomise "or églomise glass refers to the technique of applying gold or Silver leaf to glass for furniture, objects and specialty mirror makers.
Verre Eglomise is an old world technique, with a rich history in the decorative arts. Usually executed on a panel of glass (for a picture frame, for example) backed with gold or silver leaf, the technique involves engraving a design through the leaf and applying coloured pigment so that the coloured portions show through the engraved areas.
The painting is in turn backed with protective glass or foil. This technique sublimates the design . The decor is seen upside down and then shines with an unmistakable brilliance that gives it the light reflected by the glass.
Concerning this piece of furniture, its decor is typically art deco design and is depicting African landscape, elephant and panther. This Mid-Century Bar Cabinet is purely magnificent...
Its red glass top matches the red color of its main glass panel. As to its interior, its very light color of wood is superb and moreover there is plenty of room to store bottles and glasses in its 3 shelves and 2 drawers.
Bar service area features a finely decorated mirror interior. 1 working key on its fall front + 1 key to lock the revolving mechanism.
