1930s Vellum Leather Steamer Trunk

This little steamer trunk is so extraordinary…All made in soft ivory color vellum leather with chocolate color leather trim and matching sturdy top handle, it splits into 3 removable sections. Its back is perfectly identical to its front. Indeed, it features 2 locks by level and by side in order to remove its 3 trays.Each tray is lined with ivory beige moire. Its interior is very clean to allow storage. Was it a shoe trunk, a jewelry trunk or a plain and elegant train case? Hard to say… Anyway it is perfectly elegant and could turn out to be a marvelous side table or bedside cabinet in which you can store many things. This vellum leather steamer trunk is a vey unusual piece of luggage and it is a top quality one. Although this trunk doesn’t show any trademark ,it is a high end piece of luggage that could have been made by famous luxury makers such as Louis Vuitton,Goyard or Moynat…
