This spectacular 1950’s Louis Vuitton steamer trunk features stenciled monogram canvas, honey color lozine trim, LV stamped solid brass locks and studs as well as leather side handles and brass corners. Its customized painted white and blue motifs on each sides add a touch of personality. It has got a beautiful original patina and is very elegant. But its most particular quality is its large size. Indeed it is 130 cm long. Originally, this Vuitton trunk was a fitted wardrobe that has been emptied and relined to convert it from a wardrobe trunk to an amazingly large courrier trunk. Its interior has been relined and is empty. It still has got its lock’s serial number. Inside is rather clean and could easily be used for storage. This 1950’s Louis Vuitton steamer trunk would be a magnificent conversation piece in high end interiors as a coffee table, a side table or a blanket trunk.

This very rare Louis Vuitton trunk features a rich and very warm light brown leather shaded patina. It features stamped Louis Vuitton solid brass studs, lock and latches. Original leather handles, embossed Louis Vuitton. Once open, it reveals a folding hanging sections with many LV hangers on one side. On the opposite side, there is a series of five drawers wit leather handles. The first compartment is a rolling drawer and this is why there is a space on the top when it is closed. Then there are 3 plain drawers and one more compartment that opens flat for hat and shoes storage. It is perfectly original and complete , nothing has been changed or replaced since 1900s. Despite its age, it is very clean and in very good condition. No smell inside. Please note that its exterior leather has got many stains and a large one behind. But anyway, it in not new and it is more than 130 years old now.... It could be used as a real wardrobe ,as a coffee table because it is perfectly flat sided or a blankett chest.

Superb Louis Vuitton steamer trunk featuring stenciled canvas, all leather trim in deep chocolate color, solid brass Louis Vuitton stamped clasps, lock and studs, solid brass corners and solid brass LV stamped side handles. Measure: 76 cm Customized painted French flag and stripes on its sides. Very warm and rich patina.Please note that its solid brass handles on its sides are a little twisted,as shown on photos. This trunk has kept its original interior and has never been relined, it also has kept its original quilting under its lid. It still has got its original Louis Vuitton label as well as its serial number. Its quilting is a little teared on the top right,as shown on photos but is original. Underneath, it was made of zinc to protect it from humidity for travels. It is in beautiful vintage condition as it has to be considering its age, around 100 years old... Perfect to use as a coffee table, blanket box or side table.

Interior is original too, its still has got its Louis Vuitton label but its serial number is erased.Nevertheless it still has got its lock number . Its interior nice and clean interior, little stains shown on photos. It could be used as a very elegant coffee table or a blanket trunk. A custom made wood stand is available to get it higher and to reach 47 cm tall, the regular height of a coffee table.It is included in price.
