Antique end of the 19th century genuine and superb Louis Vuitton “Malle Courrier” or steamer trunk, medium size, rare and sought after “Tissé” monogram canvas, black metal bound with Vuitton stamped brass studs, reinforced with wooden laths, with wheels to the base and black steel handles to either end. Its handles are stamped Louis Vuitton.

It has got a very warm and lively look thanks to its patinated by time woven canvas.

Its main lock, made of solid brass is stamped Louis Vuitton, as well as its brass studs. Its lock number is stamped. This beautiful Vuitton trunk also features a couple of traveling labels as well as a hand painted stripes on each side. These details make this Vuitton trunk very unique.

Its interior is all original except its quilting under its lid that has been redone a while ago.

It still has got its brand tag on the internal side of the cover reading “Louis Vuitton I. Rue scribe Paris, 149 new bond style London” as well as its serial number. Its serial number is a little erased, but still there. It features one large removable tray then a small one underneath.

It could be used as a perfect coffee table, a side table or a blanket box and would add a touch of elegance in all types of interiors.
