This very nice pair of French mid century sconces by Petitot features gilt bronze and ribbed glass . It was made in France, in 1930’s. Both lights are stamped PETITOT on their frames. They have been rewired and they are 2 bulbs by sconce. This model is called “Cinema Sconces” because ,initially, it was designed for French theaters.These wall lights are in perfect working condition. This pair of vintage mid-century wall lights would be great in a lobby,a living room or a bedroom. Rather big , they could be placed everywhere to add a French luxury touch to every interiors.
The bronze maker Antonin Petitot started his company in 1878. His son Henri took over in 1917. They had their own shop in Paris but were primarily wholesalers, selling their lamps to shops all over France, Europe and the United States. Quickly, in the 1930’s,they became the largest producer of French art deco lighting . Petitot produced precious fixtures in high quality heavy bronze with shades from the most famous French glass manufacturers such as Sabino, Muller Freres, Degue and Schneider.

This very nice chandelier features a main brass disk top from which fall 6 brass rods of different length in a spiral shape. Each rod is ending with a Murano glass globe. Each globe was hand made . This very chic chandelier features brass rods ending with gold glass globes. So when the light is switched off, this chandelier is all gold, amazing.
