Louis Vuitton Trunk in Woven Canvas, 75 cm Louis Vuitton Steamer Trunk

Antique end of the 19th century genuine and superb Louis Vuitton “Malle Courrier” or steamer trunk, medium size, rare and sought after Tissé monogram canvas, black metal bound with brass studs, reinforced with wooden laths, with wheels to the base and large black steel handles to either end. Its handles are stamped Louis Vuitton.

It has got a very warm and lively look thanks to its patinated by time woven canvas.
Its main lock, made of solid brass is stamped Louis Vuitton, as well as its brass studs. Its lock number is stamped. This beautiful Vuitton trunk also features many traveling labels as well as a hand painted red star on its both sides. These details make this Vuitton trunk very unique.

Its interior has been perfectly relined with a beige fabric as well as its quilting . They have been relined exactly as they used to be originally. So, it is perfect interior, very convenient for storage.

It is in overall good condition but please note that its canvas is gently worned and show signs of fading here and then as shown on photo…This is what gives to this magnificent Vuitton trunk its so special personality.
