This magnificent Louis Vuitton shoe trunk features hand painted stenciled canvas monogram, Louis Vuitton stamped solid brass locks, brass studs and leather side handles. This Vuitton trunk also has got a magnificent honey color lozine trim.
Its hand painted customized stripes on its sides add a very personal touch to this Vuitton trunk. It has got a beautiful and warm patina and is really gorgeous.
Its interior has been partly relined in its original chocolate brown color felt . It features 2 removable trays, one covered with brown felt and offering 4 compartments for shoes and a second one in beige canvas. Its interior is rather clean, considering the age of this piece and there is no smell.
Underneath, It still features its original monogram canvas as well as Louis Vuitton stamped wood slats.

This Vuitton trunk is one of the rarer Louis Vuitton trunks to be offered currently. Indeed , it features the world famous and sought after damier (checkerboard) canvas. Dating to 1889, it is a wonderful example of such luxury trunks.

Then its inside fitting is all original and very complete too.It has got 1 large removable tray then on the top of this one, another one with many compartments and flaps . It still features its large Louis Vuitton label with its serial number.
Underneath, it has got its zinc bottom that was used to protect steamer trunks from humidity when they were to travel to tropical countries.
