This steamer trunk is very rare. as well in its proportions as in its materials. Indeed, it is all made of vulcanisated fiber which is a very sturdy, light and waterproof material. It was very used in top of the range luggage in 1920's 1930's for its quality.
Its color is warm and light toffee color.Its patina is a light honey color, full of charm.It features solid brass main lock, clasps ans studs. It has got a large leather handle on each sides.And it still has got its original working key.
Its top is very flat, so it would be perfect to use as a coffee table ..Its interior is all original with its 2 removable trays and its shoes compartments at its bottom. It is rather clean for its age but has got a couple of little stains as one can see on photos.
This vulcanized fiber trunk is very sought after also because of its unusual proportions that give to this piece a very special elegance.It could be used as a coffee table, side table or bedside cabinet and is also very convenient for storage.

This trunk was a special order made in 2000's. It features checkers canvas, stamped LV solid brass locks, corners and studs. On the top is the leather handle, Louis Vuitton embossed.
Inside is all brown suedine featuring 12 compartments, each one with its matching cushion ,nothing is missing. It still has got its serial number inside. This Louis Vuitton Checkers still has got its 2 working keys. and its original all leather name holder.
Its first use was for shoes storage but it is in such pristine condition that it could be used to store many other things: Lingerie, jewels, scarves. It also could be a beautiful side table.
This Louis Vuitton checkers shoe trunk is very rare Moreover it is even harder to find in checkers canvas than in monogram. It is in excellent condition, as new.

It features its famous and sought after chevron canvas, its original solid brass Goyard stamped lock, solid brass stamped clasps and solid brass stamped handles.On its sides, it features a customized hand painted French flag as well as a Goyard plaque. Its interior is all original too and in very good condition, with its 2 removable trays . A the end of the trunk, there are 2 brown felt compartments and its matching original removable shoes compartment. Underneath,it has kept its original zinc bottom and wood slats. It still has got its original red Goyard label. This gorgeous trunk could easily be used as a coffee table or a blanket chest.
