Vintage Light Brown Steamer Trunk

This steamer trunk is very rare. as well in its proportions as in its materials. Indeed, it is all made of vulcanisated fiber which is a very sturdy, light and waterproof material. It was very used in top of the range luggage in 1920’s 1930’s for its quality.

Its color is warm and light toffee color.Its patina is a light honey color, full of charm.It features solid brass main lock, clasps ans studs. It has got a large leather handle on each sides.And it still has got its original working key.

Its top is very flat, so it would be perfect to use as a coffee table ..Its interior is all original with its 2 removable trays and its shoes compartments at its bottom. It is rather clean for its age but has got a couple of little stains as one can see on photos.

This vulcanized fiber trunk is very sought after also because of its unusual proportions that give to this piece a very special elegance.It could be used as a coffee table, side table or bedside cabinet and is also very convenient for storage.
