This magnificent Mid-Century Modern vase was realized in France by the worldwide famous crystal maker, Baccarat in circa 1950. It features a subtly tapered cylindrical form with a jagged scalloped circular mouth in deeply faceted translucent crystal. With its vibrant reflects and graphic form, this piece would add a very elegant French touch to any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. Its deep pure crystal creates many reflects according to light exposure. Base signed with circular Baccarat logo. It is in -excellent vintage condition. Please note very light and gentle scratches on its base but nothing unusual for a vintage crystal vase. This very decorative wall-mounted mirror was designed in France in 1950s by Audoux Minet. Adrian Audoux and Frida Minet were famous French designers and were part of a group of Modernist designers including Louis Sognot, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Chareau.
Audoux Minet's innovative use of rope in decoration pieces have become their own trademark.This vintage rope mirror is typical of this period design and is all original. It was handcrafted and is in very good condition.
It has got a beautiful horse yoke shape. It could be put on a wall on its own or mixed with other same style mirrors to get a spectacular look. It is the perfect piece to create 1950's a French look.
It features a magnificent chocolate and honey color patina and its mirror is very clear.
